Julia's 3rd Birthday! Circus Circus!

On Julia's actual birthday we headed to the Qwest for the Ringling Brothers Circus. It was a pretty cool show - tigers and elephants included. One $13 cotton candy ad 2 hours later all the kids were a little tired by the end! Julia had a lot of fun and enjoyed the rest of her big day - including a birthday chat with Aunt Katie!

Julia's Birthday Part Two

Julia's birthday party was on June 5th. Her grama's and capa's, cousins, GG Brown and the Gutzs were all there. She had a great time playing outside in the sprinklers with her cousins and Will! She especially liked the Cinderella cake and later said "Mom I loved my cake. It was so beautiful." I think she has named about every other princess that she would like to have for her 4th birthday cake. :) The cousins had some fun playing with their scooters later too. Great time!

Julia's 3rd Birthday! Part One

Julia went to see Shrek Forever After as the kickoff to her birthday weekend! She did great at the movie and thought the popcorn was the best part. Followed up by dinner at Cheeseburger in Paradise and a fun birthday balloon! We also brought cupcakes to her school on Friday for the kids to decorate.

Ozarks 2010

We spent Memorial Day at the lake! It was a great trip. Went beaching it at Captain Ron's, an exploring trip where we saw a turtle laying eggs, frogs and snails, and Julia had her first two jet ski rides and really liked them. Papa Jim took her the second time and she told him to go faster! I was watching on shore thinking that he misunderstood when I told him to go slow!

Fishing Trip and Visit from Aunt Katie

Aunt Katie and her boyfriend Drew were back in May for a visit and we had a week full of fun. We took the kids to Two Rivers for a fishing expedition. Everyone had a good time - could've caught a few more fish in our opinion but we at least reeled in two for the kids to take a close look at. Julia was lucky enough to get one and was pretty excited! The kids had fun playing dressup in Aunt Katie's old prom dresses and icing their "owies" - a little case of monkey see. . .

If You Give A Cat a Cupcake

Julia, Dad and Mom on May 1st went to the Rose Theater Production, "If You Give A Cat A Cupcake." Julia had a great time and the play was really cute. We are looking forward to many more plays at the Rose over the next few years. Julia thought the Cat was pretty cool and we even waited in line for an autograph afterwards!

Spring Game 2010

Okay so I am a little behind on my posts. It really makes me want an Ipad so I could just log into the 3G network en route to the Ozarks tomorrow and blog our 6 hour trip away! How cool would that be!? As my husband would say "Your birthday is right around the corner" Not quite. Oh well. A few posts here and there will have to do.

We had fun taking Julia to Memorial Stadium for the first time to watch the Husker Spring Game - aka 70,000+ fans there to watch a practice. The girls were moderately interested, more so interested in taking walks with Grandma and "cheering" outside the stadium. It was a lovely day and fun was had by all. And the Huskers won - and it might be the last time I'm in Memorial Stadium until November - thinking the September games might be a touch warm for a 36+ week pregnant gal. Tickets anyone?
