Kyle and I had a quick trip to DC to visit Katie and Drew in May. We were down the street at a hotel the night Obama announced that Osama Bib Laden had been killed. We heard cheering in the streets, the news was all over by the White House gathering. We put some shoes on and went down to check it out. There were thousands in the streets. A memorable point in history to be a part of!
Unfortunately we had no camera at Easter. Ours broke and we were waiting for our new one to arrive. These are the best photos Kyle's phone could manage!
We watched this video again the other day with Julia and we all got such a kick out of how much she has changed in the year since we told her we were pregnant! It is so cute! Thought we would repost for fun.
What do we do in the dead of winter with an antsy 3 1/2 year old and a baby - we read books, try baby food (first time photo - loved the sweet potatoes!), make cake pops, dance and BOUNCE! Check out the video of our baby Jade - who turned 6 months old today - figuring out how to make her bouncer work!
Christmas Eve was extra special this year as we were asked to be the Holy Family for the 3 pm service at Bethany. Jade was a great baby and all the kids came up to see her for the Childens message, including Julia who did great! Definitely memorable and a fun memory to share with Jade as she gets older.
We had soup at our house following and enjoyed watching Julia spread reindeer food and open gifts from Ken and Mary Lou (she is still sleeping on the sleeping bag on the weekends :)
