Christmas, Part Two

Happy 2009! The week after Christmas we had festivities with the Ringenberg's. It was a lot of fun - Julia and Mallory enjoyed their "baking" supplies for their kitchen and Julia also got a stylin sled and a vacuum from Great Grandma R! Here she is practicing her overly entergetic "cheese" smile.

Julia and Daddy playing doctor! She is really good about making "thump, thump" sounds and generally seems to know just where to find them.

Julia and Grandpa dancing to "Julia and a Drum" from the Julia soundtrack from Scot and Kendy.

Awww . . . .

Again . . . aw . . . .

Making the first of many messes with their new mixing bowls and measuring cups for their kitchens.

Julia and Mom got matching cupcake aprons from Aunt Kendy - too too cute!

Grandma L the chef has years of baking experience to teach the wee ones :)

Oh and when we don't play with kitchens - its all about babies!

My sled is pretty cool inside - can't wait to get some snow to try it out!

Ah the Kirby Kegger. . 4th Annual . . fun times

Julia, Kyle and I headed down to the Children's Museum while Kyle had some time off over Christmas - we will definitely be back - what a fun place!

Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone - we had a great time and the fun isn't quite over yet - two more Christmas' to go! Julia got a Kitchen! She loves it and we have a feeling Cousin Mallory will enjoy it when she comes over as well - unfortunately we will need two identical cups, plates, bowls, etc to keep them both happy! :)

Julia had a lot of fun playing with cousin Kaden at the Brown Christmas - until he placed his hand on the toys she wanted (as evidenced by the photos below) :( Such a
dramatic 18 month old we have on our hands :)
Hope everyone had a great holiday! Happy New Year!

Lost in Fun

On the 7th we went to Lost In Fun in Lincoln to help celebrate 2nd cousin Alex's First Birthday! Julia had a great time - little to young for the bounce houses yet, but she loved the slides and swings! What a fun place!

Halloween!

Julia had a great Halloween! She tolerated the Tinkerbell costume, with layers underneath. We stopped by Grandpa Tod's work to see Mallory and Garrett and then trick o' treated on our new street with G & G Brown- it was great to see so many kids! Julia even got to see Addie Gragert - we are so excited she is moving to Omaha! Oh and then we got really tired - note the picture on the chair :)

Pumpkins and more pumpkins!

Sorry - this is a loaded blog post because I have neglected pretty much the entire month of October! Hopefully we can get Julia to wear her halloween costume - we went with something simple - a bunny, in hopes she can't tear off the tail. We've had issues with keeping costumes on - tinkerbell and ballerina to name a few.

Also - Our house! - No inside photos yet - sorry Casey :(

Julia is so proud of the jack-o-lantern she carved. . .

Daddy's little girl. . .

Happy Birthday Dad on Oct 17th!

Pumpkin Patch trip to Pooley's Farm near
Bennington. Fun trip! Would have been better if someone wouldn't have fallen on a pumpkin stem while picking the very best one! See the last photo of this post for scars to prove it :(

Cheep cheep!

These pics are from our playgroup trip to Vala's - fun time! What a place - I think Julia will be able to appreciate it more next year but it was fun, even at her age!

My new playgroup friends! Haley, JR and Mason!

Julia's new favorite snack - apples! cut or whole!

Go Big Red!

Julia is almost 16 months now! Her new words tonight were "doctor" and "magazine"! She is doing great with her words - the people at daycare this week were very impressed with her progress in just a week's time. She's also starting to sing a few words of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" with us - so fun. Here's some photos from last weekend - the VA Tech game tailgate with the Ringenbergs and some fun times with Aunt Katie!

Mal and Jules are ready to cheer on the Big Red!

Julia made quite an attempt at saying "Garrett", but she's got Ma-ah-ee (Mallory) down pat!

Bubbles with Aunt Katie!

If we only we got a picture while Kyle and I tried to pry her fingers off the sucker as we got to the car to leave El Bees! Someone was not happy!

Video of Mallory and Julia dancing to the Wiggles songs. Mallory is a pro - know the words and actions - Julia on the other hand, is perfecting her one dance move - we're not sure what to call it!
